Prima Sankyo #9511
Handmade, Artist model, #9511 French style, C-foot 14K Gold body, posts, ribs, and keys
The word "SANKYO" means in Japanese "The Three Sounds" and the SANKYO trademark symbolizes the Japanese word "Hibiki", which reflects the triangle formed by its three founders. Prima Sankyo craftsmanship is respected worldwide with company networks in 33 countries around the globe. This finely crafted Prima looks and plays as if it was made yesterday though we know it was made in 1977. The purity of sound and solid structure of the core and overtones gives the player a sense of security and strength. The lip plate has a wing shape design in which the far side of the blow hole is higher than the near side and the overall design of the plate, across the tube, is in the shape of a wave. The embouchure literally rests "in" the blow hole and the cutting edge feels comfortable, accessible and stalwart.
The condition of the flute is impeccable. The inner tubing is free of scratches and tarnish and the exterior tubing is in like new condition with a deep yellow gold lustre. The flute articulates beautifully providing a smooth crispness. The predominant character of #9511 would fall in the dark, rich category of flute playing and might exceed the artist 's expectations where strength and grace are not mutually exclusive.
The seller has provided a COA by Your Flute Works and a 6 month warranty will accompany the sale of instrument to the lucky buyer.
