This 'traditional cut' Prima Headjoint has the powerful and direct sound often associated with Powell flutes. Clear, buoyant, purposeful and ringing, the palette of timbres is one that will add life to a flute that needs more brilliance. Extremely rapid articulation, with a wonderful ring to each note...there is a inherent in this headjoint as well, an ease with tapering a descrescendo to nothingness. Though the vintage of this headjoint (approximately 20 years old) predates the period when the model number was stamped on the silver, the tone production leads one to believe that it is an NRS1.
