Powell Flute #2172, made in 1961, has the warmth, gorgeous projection, and secure pitch that one would expect of this vintage instrument. The depth of quality in the tone production is a reflection of the era of its construction, when the Powell Flutes shop was producing one great flute after another. Though it was originally a lower-priced instrument (and continues to be) it plays as masterfully as a hand-made Powell Flute.

In excellent condition, with no dings, dents or scratches. The pads, though not brand new, are in excellent condition and the flute will require only yearly maintenance for many years to come.
