This 2100 series flute has a great sound and a great price. Unlike Powell's Signature flute, the 2100 series flute was designed with acoustics in mind with the innovative version of "tail kickers." (See the photo showing the back side of the body revealing the absence of traditional kickers, and illustrating the rib as the receiver for the kicker, rather than the tube, as is more traditional) This innovative design allows the tube to vibrate more freely and offers smooth key motion in rapid and legato playing. A full lower G insert enables an effortless production of E3 in all possible dynamics. The original Q. style Powell headjoint is preferred by many. In addition, the Burkart headjoint creates additional elegance and a variety of color to the sound. The flute articulates well and plays evenly in all registers. Powell Flutes went the extra mile when making this flute by not including adjustment screws, but instead sticking with the professional design of the higher cost Powells.

One original owner took great care of the flute and no markings of any kind can be found on the instrument. The pads are in good condition.
