Powell's former neighbor) purchased this flute while studying with Papoutsakis, it was recently overhauled at the Powell factory, and has a brand new Powell double case and leather case cover. A buoyant and luminous sound produces ringing staccato, a natural legato, and a fantastic consistency in all three registers. The sound can be pushed to fortissimo with no risk of cracking notes. The presence of overtones is completely available.
