Made in 2000, Powell #10959 was crafted with all of the specifications that most flutist desire. The 14K headjoint with Platinum riser and 14k gold crown is a marvel to play as is the unique sound and feel of the Aurumite tubing. Combined with the Split E mechanism and C# trill, the flute offers a rich, full, "expensive" sound. The combination of the gold and silver - of the Aurumite tube - offers a player a yin and yang approach to heavy vs. light and dark vs. bright.
