With lovely presence and tremendous agility, this Aurumite Powell Flute has proven its place amongst the truly great Powell flutes. The melding together of the silver/gold tubing that distinguishes the Aurumite trademark of Powell Flutes, brings ringing warmth, power and great sensitivity to the vast tonal palette. The .016 tubing thickness allows for a large quantity of air to flow though, without cracking notes, and provides a wonderful balance of free-blowing and resistance. Comfortable in the hand, the sound of solid gold truly lives in this set-up, minus the great weight and expense!

An extremely quick and vibrant articulation are easily approached in all registers, and the intonation is stable throughout. There is no doubt that the Platinum riser contributes to the great projection, and the ethereal qualities in the sound. The original owner of this flute chose to purchase it without a Powell Aurumite head, and instead found the Miyazawa head - with lovely engraving on the lip plate and the crown - to bring out its fullest potential...and projection!

A magnificent flute, it almost plays itself! In wooden Powell case, with sturdy neoprene interior and padded leather case cover.

In perfect condition, with no dings, dents or scratches...with slightly used Straubinger Pads.
