A particularly large amount of gold went into this headjoint, as the wall thickness is .016 (the dimension of what is commonly a 'medium' silver flute)...and it has been slightly sized up to fit a .016 barrel. With these particular dimensions, it would not be appropriate to attempt to fit it into a standard gold flute, but will work wonderfully with any medium barrel flute (generally speaking, that would be either a medium or large tubing thickness on a silver flute body).
