William S. Haynes silver headjoint with 14K riser, and 14K crown

This beautiful headjoint was made in 2006 and has a remarkable vintage quality to the sound. We are seeing very beautiful work from the Haynes Company in recent years and this headjoint is certainly among the better work of this legendary flute shop. The sound is complex offering a wide range of tonal possibilities and agile tapering. The 14K riser brings depth and weight to the sound and the gold crown seems to provide for a more pointed style articulation.
