William S. Haynes Flute #39635

William S. Haynes Flute #39635, Handmade, .013 Tubing Thickness. Pitched at A=440, French style key cups, in-line G, B foot, 14k gold lip plate w/silver riser.

Made in 1972, this Haynes has a lovely, deep quality. Chosen for his student - the sole owner of this flute - by Paige Brooke (former Asst. Principal Flutist for The NY Philharmonic) there is a soulful, centered sound evident in every register.

Emblematic of the integrity of sound that that period in NY musical history holds, this flutes has a creamy, warm and rich quality that is brought forth by the gold lip plate. When one thinks of the Golden Age Haynes it is often those instruments built in the 1950's and 1960's, but in recent times it seems the early 1970's are considered to be amongst the sought-after Vintage Haynes. This flute will undoubtedly be considered to be amongst the special Vintage instruments by those connoisseurs who will have the chance to play it.

The flute has just received a complete servicing from Your Flute Works (Clean-Oil-Adjust) so will come with the respective warranty. Though the flute has been well-loved, it has also been well-used and has a good bit of patina on the tubing. Overhauled by Your Flute Works/Anne Pollack approximately 10 years ago, the traditional pads have received only moderate use since they were replaced, and therefore are in relatively new condition, and will not need to be changed for a number of years to come.

In Good Condition, with small dings, dents and scratches. Mechanism is in perfect condition.
