William S. Haynes #32421- SOLD
William S. Haynes #32421 Sterling silver flute .018 tubing, with original headjoint - and additional Brannen Brothers headjoint - handmade French style cups, in-line G, C# trill, B-foot with gizmo
This Haynes was made in March of 1963. The C# trill was added in 1979 at the Haynes shop. The condition of the flute is superb as can be seen in the photography. The original headjoint is definitely "Haynes-like" in tone and we think the sound is dark, rich and sonorous. The sale includes an additional headjoint made by Brannen Brothers cut in the "Cooper Style" with a 10K lip plate/riser which gives the flute a roundness and focus of a different nature. Both heads offer stunning clarity and make a great pairing with this flute. The Brannen headjoint may be purchased separately.*
The flute articulates beautifully while maintaining a lyrical and soulful line. Tapers are effortless. The mechanism is stalwart and smooth.
The mechanism is stalwart and smooth and give the player a feeling of confidence. Straubinger pads were installed by Anne Pollack/Your Flute Works, at the sellers request, in late 2007, and are in like-new condition.
An excellent flute with no dents, dings, or scratches.
