Albert Cooper 14k Headjoint #79 - SOLD
Albert Cooper 14k Headjoint #79
Made in 1979 by Albert Cooper, the headjoint maker, can be seen at his best in the brilliant sound that this headjoint generates. It possesses a strikingly rich quality that holds an inner glow throughout all registers. It seems the longer one plays it, the more colors there are that emerge, and the dynamic possibilities become seemingly limitless.
Albert Cooper is considered one of the foremost influences in flute making in the 20th Century, and his headjoints have been played by many Principal Flutists in major orchestras for decades. It is quite exciting to have this headjoint in Your Flute Works inventory, as they are becoming increasingly rare and sought after!
The sole owner of this Albert Cooper parts with this headjoint reluctantly, but has moved on to playing silver. The typical Cooper .014 tube was sized up to fit a .016 flute (a medium barrel on what is considered a "medium or heavy wall" silver flute) so it is most logical that this
headjoint is really best suited for a silver body.
In perfect condition, with no dings, dents or scratches.
