Brannen-Cooper Silver Flute #5266 - SOLD
Brannen-Cooper Flute #5266, all Sterling Silver Flute. Pitched at A=442, .016 Tubing, Soldered Tone Holes, French Style Key Cups, In-line G, C# Trill, Low B with Gizmo Brogger Acoustic, Brogger Mekanik. Sterling Silver Headjoint with Platinum Riser: "Modern Style."
Built in 2004, with a sole prior owner, this Brannen-Cooper
flute offers the promise of wasting no energy while blowing
into. It seems to responsive to even the slightest impulse!
And its responsiveness is equally matched by the solid,
pure, clean and powerfully rich sound it produces.
Wonderful consistency from one octave to the next, the
pitch is excellent and quite secure. There is a shimmering
warmth of tone living in the headjoint, that belies the
platinum riser (which sometimes produces a cooler
sound). The quick response to articulated notes, and
the strength of volume - that is characteristic
to the platinum riser - are fully present.
The flute has received constant and excellent maintenance
throughout its use by a flutist who has gone through conservatory
with it, played in the National Symphony on it, and gotten
to the semi-finals and finals in major orchestral auditions.
The Straubinger Pads are in excellent condition, as is the
flute, with no dings, dents or scratches. It has just received
a Clean-Oil-Adjust by Anne H. Pollack/Your Flute Works.
