Brannen-Cooper Silver Flute #264- SOLD
Brannen-Cooper Silver Flute #264 Heavy .018 tube,B foot, Open Hole, in-line G, B gizmo, D# roller, Tradition Acoustic, and Traditional Meckanic.
Made in 1982, is a true
'three-digit' Brannen. Harkening
back to the Vintage Powell sound, which was
the crucible that formed the Brannen Brothers
brilliant flute-making aesthetic, the early Brannen-Cooper
flutes are renowned for their depth of color,
and vibrant presence.
It seems the projection of this flute has a life of its
own. The sound projects around corners and through
closed doors...so one can imagine the possibilities
in a hall! Occasionally there are flutes that are built
that seem to be like ventriloquists, throwing the sound
out into the world so succinctly that nothing is lost...
and #264 is one of those flutes.
The elegant gestural line that is inherent in the playability enhance
the phrasing as one builds it. As for the intonation, articulation
and dynamic range, your wish is its command.
A true find, and one Your Flute Works is quite proud to include
in its inventory!
In excellent condition, with no dings, dents or scratches. The Straubinger
Pads, that were installed at the Brannen factory in 2005, are in
quite new condition, as the flute was played minimally since
the pads were installed. There should not be the need to do an overhaul
on this flute for many years to come.
No dings, dents or scratches. In perfect condition.
